US Figure Skating National Championships are attended by individuals and pairs qualifying through Regional Championships and Sectional Championships. This year the Pacific Coast Sectional Championships are being hosted by Salt Lake Figure Skating.

The 2017 U.S. Figure Skating qualifying competition season consists of a total of 13 events. These include 12 qualifying events (nine regional championships, three sectional championships), and the 2017 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships (juvenile, intermediate, novice, junior and senior).
For Southern California and Arizona, the 2017 Southwest Pacific Regional FS Championship is being hosted by Coyotes Skating Club of Arizona in Scottsdale, AZ.
The Pasadena Figure Skating Club will be hosting the 38th Annual Pasadena Open Championships from Thursday, September 15th – Sunday, September 18th. The entry deadline is Saturday, August 20th.

The 2016 La Jolla Figure Skating Club's Open Championships & Basic Skills Competition will be held at the UTC Ice Sports Center, University Towne Centre, 4545 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92122.
